Native Excellence
The Native Excellence Gala brings together Tribal Nation heads of state, community partners and members, educators, and students to celebrate changemakers and leaders who are making a positive impact on behalf of the Indigenous community. With prestigious awards bestowed upon nominated individuals, the evening includes a VIP reception, dinner and entertainment to honor and celebrate award recipients.

Tia Wood, from Saddle Lake Cree Nation in central Alberta, is a powerful vocalist and artist whose music carries forward stories rooted in family, community, and culture. Known for her soulful voice and meaningful presence, Tia brings together contemporary sound with deep respect for the songs, teachings, and generations that shaped her.
Through her music and storytelling, Tia uplifts Indigenous identity, celebrates cultural strength, and creates space for connection, reflection, and pride. We are honored to welcome Tia Wood as this year’s Native Excellence Gala keynote speaker.
